The truth about the future of digital media.
Hey WE FAM,
I want to talk to you about Storytelling because it’s the heartbeat of what I love most about what WE do–help the next gen of disruptors craft ICONIC AF digital experience.
I, like so many of my colleagues, are convinced that Good Stories can not only change the way we think, the way we behave, but how we act, feel and do things. What I’m talking about here is connection. At its core storytelling, an agency word I longed rejected but have since embraced is about selling ideas in a thoughtful and unforgettable way. I call this type of reactivity, transformational media. Transmedia, transcends content to evoke either an emotion or a response or both. Something we continue to cultivate as creative’s is how to create connectivity through compelling imagery, narrative development, content strategy and consumer messaging. All of which are essential in effective brand building.
Storytelling is not inventing a story. In fact, the very reason why your business exists, why you have developed products and services and why you do what you do is filled with stories. You want to fulfill needs, respond to questions, engage on an emotional level, connect, find your voice and listen to voices in the intersection of brand and audience. Without effective storytelling there’s very little connection, and without connection, what’s the point?
So I leave you with this thought, every brand has a story.
- What’s yours?
- What do you stand for?
- What’s your purpose?
- Your opinion?
- Your differentiating value?
- Your unique proposition?
You’ve got 30 seconds in an elevator with the CEO of X Company that could change your business and your life, what do you do?
What do you say?
Can you say it with one single Twitter message?
THIS is what will separate you from the others–Mastering your message.
